Trojans Top Warroad with Strong Second Half

The Barnesville boys basketball team overcame a 27-22 halftime deficit on Saturday and went on to defeat Warroad 49-45 on Saturday afternoon in Barnesville. 

 

Barnesville shot just 33% (17-51) from the floor and the Warriors made 40% (16-40) of their field goal attempts. Barnesville was also beaten on the boards, 37-25, however, the Trojans were able to force 24 turnovers which led to twelve points. 

Barnesville was led by Sam Askegaard (9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks), Adam Tonsfeldt (9 points, 5 assists, 33 steals), Kellen Hinsz (8 points, 4 steals) and Jason Henrickson (l7 points, 2 steals). Hunter Zenzen had a team high 6 rebounds, while scoring five points. 

The Trojans (7-2) will host D-G-F on Friday night.
