Arrows Fall to 5-3 with Loss to Parkers Prairie

The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball Team was defeated by the Parkers Prairie Panthers 56-42 in a Little Eight Conference match-up on Thursday night.  The host Panthers led 33-25 at the halftime break.

 

Parkers Prairie placed four players in double figures led by Alex Koep who netted 21 points.  Josh HellingNoah Koep, and Travis Yohnke scored 12, 11, and 10, respectively.

The Arrows were led by Scott Johnson's 19 points.  Jaden Norby added 14 and collected 12 rebounds for a double-double.  Both teams gathered 33 rebounds.  The Arrows shot 31% (15/49) from the field.

“We got behind by double digits in the second half but fought back to trail 45-42 with under four minutes to play,” said Head Coach John Holsten of the Arrows.  “The Panthers went on an 11-0 run to close out the game.”

Ashby's overall record falls to 5-3 and 3-1 in the Little Eight.  They get right back into action Friday night hosting Park Christian.
