Brandon-Evansville took a commanding 31-11 halftime lead on the way to a 55-34 win over Underwood in a Little Eight Conference boys basketball matchup on Thursday night in Evansville.

Sam Fuller led B-E with 14 points and six Chargers scored between 5 and 7 points to provide the home team with a balanced attack.  Tanner Bitzan grabbed a team high ten rebounds and Keagan Schiele led the team with 5 assists and 5 steals.

"I thought we did some good things tonight," commented B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister.  "Our defense played well for most of the game.  Sam Fuller had a nice game for us, making the smart play when it was available to him."

Underwood was led by Canaan Kugler with 13 points. Winston Heifort and Nick Seiple finished with 9 and 8 points, respectively.

"We played hard tonight throughout the entire game,” said Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “We are battling some illnesses and were a little shorthanded tonight, but the guys didn't let that affect the effort on the court.  Brandon had a run to end the 1st half and that ended up being the difference in the ball game.  We gave them too many second chances to get some more opportunities for baskets to make that run.  If we limit their second chances, we're right in the ball game the entire time."

The win snapped a three game losing streak for the Chargers (6-5). They will play at Ashby on Tuesday night.

Underwood (2-8) will host Parkers Prairie on Tuesday.
