The West Central Area Knights posted a 69-52 win over Park Christian on Thursday night behind Teigen Moritz's double double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Coach Kraig Hunter said, "We had one of our tougher shooting nights going 26-72 for 36%, but we tell our guys that good programs still win on bad shooting nights if you play good defense.  We were able to force them into 19 turnovers.  We also had a season high 14 offensive rebounds.  So those two areas gave us extra possessions.  The other positive is that we did shoot the three well going 9-19 from beyond the arc.  Just didn't finish well inside."

The Knights also made 8-12 free throws.  The Falcons shot 20-48 for 42%, made 5-12 threes and 7-11 free throws.  Park Christian held a 44-34 edge in rebounding.  The Knights only turned the ball over eight times.

Joining Moritz in double figures was Grant Beuckens who had 19 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals and Jack VanKempen with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists.

Jacob Bright added 8 points, Gage Staples 5 points and 4 rebounds, Tate Christenson 5 points, Gavin Paulson 2 points, and Blake Koloski 1 point.

Scoring for the Falcons were Ian Ziebarth 13, Tanner Brunsberg 12, Allen Daugherty 12, Kai Nellermoe 8, Jacob Jelinski 6, and Ethan Jorgenson 1.

Hunter added, "Many guys contributed again but we have to give a shout out to our two seniors.  Teigen Moritiz is just becoming a workhorse.  All of his points are just from hard work and he cleaned up on the boards tonight.  Gavin Paulson helped hold their leading scorer to only two first half points and twelve total some of which came late in the game."
