Strong Finish Leads Perham Boys Past Sauk Centre

On Friday the Perham boys basketball team hosted Sauk Centre at ‘The Hive’ in Perham. The Yellowjackets trailed 28-27 at the half, but rallied to win 66-55, behind a strong second half of basketball. 

 

Jensen Beachy and Josh Jeziorski led Perham with 18 points each as the Yellowjackets shot 50% (22-44) from the field and made 9-of-16 3’s. Finn Digginsand Charlie Rasmussen each scored 9 points. Rasmussen also had a team high 8 rebounds and beachy added 3 assists. 

For Sauk Centre, Jacob Jennison had 17 points and 7 rebounds, Logan Suflflowhad 15 and Steven Namvar added 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Perham (6-1) is currently ranked third in the state in Boys Class AA basketball. They will host Fergus Falls at 12:30pm on Saturday at ‘The Hive’.
