Perham made ten 3-point field goals on Tuesday night as they defeated the Battle Lake boys basketball team 81-32 on the Battlers home floor.

Jensen Beachy led the Yellowjackets with 23 points, hitting 9-of-12 field goal attempts. He also had 5 steals, 3 assists and 3 rebounds. Finn Diggins finished with 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting, grabbing 5 rebounds, dishing out 3 assists and coming up with 3 blocked shots. Elijah Morris scored 14 points in 13 minutes, sinking 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, and Josh Jeziorski had 14 points and a team high 7 rebounds, while distributing 4 assists. Perham shot 66.7% (32-48) from the field and made 55.6% (10-18) of their treys.

“They held us to seven second half points as we struggled to get anything going,” said Battle Lake Head Coach CJ Peeters. “We got away from what we were trying to do and tried to play their game that they are really good at. We had some good moments and I hope we take this as a great learning opportunity after playing a great team that does so many things well. We’ll focus on how we can grow and prepare for Parkers Prairie.”

Brennan Amundson led Battle Lake with 12 points, making all five of his shots from the floor, and Brady Scholten added 8 points of 4-of-7 shooting.

Perham (4-1) will play D-G-F in a road game on Thursday, while Battle Lake (1-3) will host Parkers Prairie that night.
