Each team had 28 shots on goal and Ian Stumbo came up with 25 saves in the Otter net. 

Declan Young got the scoring started at 2:15 of the second period with assists going to Aaron Shelstad and Isaac Ahlgren. River Lakes pulled even at 10:14 on an unassisted goal by Blake Blattner. At 12:49 the Otters took a 2-1 lead when Isaac Young assisted Mike DeBrito. Declan Young added an unassisted tally at 13:06 and the Fergus Falls lead expanded to 4-1 when Sehlstad scored from Ahlgren and Cole Zierden. 

River Lakes trimmed the lead to 4-3 on goals by Sam Howard at 1;09 and Tanner Stanley at 2:15. Both goals were setup by Quintin Ruhland. Shelstad added his second goal, assisted by Mason Hoffman at 4:20 to complete the scoring. 

Fergus Falls (2-3-1) will host Red Wing at 2:00pm Saturday.
