The Fergus Falls girls basketball team held a 27-22 halftime lead at Sartell on Tuesday night, but the Otters took control of the game behind a 17-0 run in the second half and went on to beat the Sabres by the score of 63-45.

"I thought this was a gritty win for our team in a very tough place to play," said Fergus Falls Head Coach Brad Strand.  "It was somewhat sloppy at times, but our defense really keyed our run in the second half."

Lily Pearson recorded a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds) to lead the Otters.  Ellie Colbeck (8 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists) and Sabrina Fronning (10 points, 4 steals, 3 assists) both had solid, all around games, and Sam Evavold poured in 13 points.  Tori Ratz was also in double digits with 11 points and Nycole Mouritsencontributed six points off the bench.

Fergus Falls held a 38-22 edge on the boards.

Sartell was led by Emily Driste with 16 points.

The Otters won the JV game 48-43 to improve to 5-0.  The C team won 58-32 behind 17 points from Emily Nuss and 15 from Katie Strommen.

The Otters will travel to Brainerd for another Central Lakes Conference contest on Thursday.
