The Fergus Falls girls basketball team placed four players in double figures on Friday night as they recorded a 74-24 win over the Rocori Spartans in Cold Spring.  The win was the third in a row for the lady Otters and leaves them with a 3-1 record to start the season.

Sabrina Fronning had 16 points and 3 steals to lead the Otters, followed by Tori Ratz with 13 points, Lily Pearson with 13 points and 7 rebounds, and Ellie Colbeck with 11 points, 5 steals and 3 assists.  Sam Evavold chipped in with 7 points.

The Otters hit 54% of their field goal attempts, compared to just 23% for Rocori.  Fergus Falls also held a 39-19 edge on the boards .

"It's good to go on the road, play well, and get the W," stated Fergus Falls Head Coach Brad Strand.  "I liked that we didn't let up our intensity after taking a 44-16 halftime lead and were able to get eleven players in the scoring column.  We shared the ball well, created some good scoring opportunities for our teammates, had some nice assists and we were extremely solid on the defensive end."

Anna Anderson scored 14 points to lead the JV team to a 53-28 win and in the B game, Hannah Polejewski had 18 points and Emma Nuss added 12.

Fergus Falls will pay a visit to Sartell for another Central Lakes Conference contest.
