"We will have a good group of letter winners from last year," said Holt.  "We also have a lot of young wrestlers in the program with 18 seventh, eighth and ninth graders out for the team.  Many of the freshmen have already had some varsity matches adn are ready for the challenge of being on the varsity full time at the lower weights.  Staying healthy and injury free will be a key.  We do not have a lot of depth and if the wrong wrestler is out of the lineup it could hurt our team performance."

Senior Noah Ziebell and junior Matt Osborne are both out for the season after sustaining football injuries this fall.

Joining Matt Ziebell as returners are senior Zane Brosowske (23-22) and James Furey (12-20), junior Maxwell Dykhoff (10-26), sophomores Tommy Thach (11-11) and John Ziebell (3-6), and freshmen Sebastian Centeno (9-19) and Carson McNeal (4-10).

Other wrestlers with some varsity experience last year are sophomores Noah Kapenga, Mark LaPoint, Zack Partlow and Jacob Willis, freshman Sebastian Rosiles and eighth-graders Oakley Carlson, Daniel Diaz, Carter Johnson and Parker Sanchez.

Holt will be assisted by Dylan Evenson, Aaron Kapenga, Mike Osborne and Brian Dykhoff.  He says Perham and Frazee are favorites in the Heart O' Lakes Conference, while West Central Area, Ottertail Central and Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale-Parkers Prairie will be the top teams in Section 6A.
