"The girls were really jacked up for their first game," said Imdieke. "There was a lot of nervous energy which ended up showing on the court. A lot of early turnovers and miscues led to easy offense for Richland, digging ourselves a hole. We moved the ball well at times and found the open girl and ended up hitting some 3-point shots to give us a slim first half lead. The girls made a nice adjustment in the second half, relaxing and playing with poise. In the half court we moved the ball effectively versus the zone and we got some easy transition buckets. The defense stepped up and started playing with their feet and rebounded much better leading to those fast break buckets."
