Park Christian School paid a visit to Brandon on Tuesday night where the two teams opened the high school girls basketball season. The Brandon-Evansville Chargers led 26-22 at the half, however, the Falcons came on strong in the second half and went home with a 49-42 victory.
"This was a good back-and-forth game and we battled all night long," stated B-E Head Coach Sam Lange. "In the end it came down to too many turnovers and missed shots for us. Park Christian did a great job pressuring us at the end and made some clutch free throws."
Sara Jacobson had 15 points, making 7-of-8 free throws, but was held scoreless in the second half. Mikenna Pattrin added 8 points. The Chargers made 15-of-23 free throws on the night.
The Falcons were led by Karley Motschenbacher with 21 points, including 8-of-10 from the foul line. Eden Tofiban contributed 9 points and the Falcons made 13-of-16 free throws.
Brandon-Evansville will play their first road game on Thursday night in Henning.
