Osakis Eliminates Breckenridge 21-20

The season ended for the Breckenridge Cowboys on Saturday night when the Osakis Silverstreaks recorded a 21-20 win in Breckenridge.

The Cowboys struck first when Caden Mcgough scored on a 9 yard run and Charles Boldingh added the extra point kick. The first quarter ended with Breckenridge leading 7-0.

In the second quarter the Silverstreaks took a 14-7 lead. Hunter Infanger broke free for a 43 yard touchdown run and added a two point conversion run by Luke Imdieke as they went ahead, 8-7. Osakis then extended their lead on a one yard TD run by Luke Imdieke, taking a 14-7 lead. Breckenridge tied the game on a second quarter touchdown by Tyson Piechowski who returned an interception 50 yards for the score and Boldingh kicked the extra point.

The Cowboys took a 20-14 lead in the third quarter when Jack Aigner hooked up with Jace Jensen for a 32 yard TD pass and the extra point kick was converted. Osakis tied the game on a 14 yard touchdown pass from Infanger to Jacob Backes. Jonathan Lara booted a successful extra point and the Silverstreaks won the game by a single point.

Leaders for Breckenridge were quarterback Jack Aigner (5-12 passing, 65 yards, TD), Hunter Feigum (18 carries, 58 yards, and Caden Mcgough (11 attempts, 44 yards, TD).

Imdieke led the Silverstreaks on the ground with 142 yards on 23 carries, Infanger was 3-for-14 throwing the football for 14 yards.

The loss ended a three game Breckenridge winning streak and put the Cowboys at 7-3 on the season.
