The Hillcrest Comet Boys soccer team defeated the East Grand Forks Green Wave on Monday’s last regular season game, by the score of 9-2.  Both teams battled the rain and cold and slippery field conditions.

Seven minutes into the contest Iver Honningdal stole the ball from an EGF midfielder and lofted it over the top of their defense to Eirik Primavera, who scored.  Four minutes later, Honningdal scored off an assist from Markus Fluge.  At 14 minutes, Eirik Primavera collected a low EGF goal kick and carried it into the box and scored with rocket to the back of the net.  Just two minutes later, Primavera scored again with a one touch volley off a nice pass from Markus Fluge.  At 24 minutes, Senior Tri-Captain, Nick Foss advanced the ball up the middle from the Comet defensive end.  At the top of the box, he made a nice give and go with Eirik Primavera, and scored with a blast through the keepers hands.  At 31 minutes, Primavera scored again off an assist from Markus Fluge.  EGF then scored with a minute left in the half, attacking up the right side of the field, ending the half with the Comets up 6-1.

Five minutes into the second half, Eirik Primavera attacked up the left side of the field and found Iver Honnindal in the box for a goal.  At 51 minutes, Primavera scored his fifth goal of the game off Markus Fluge’s  fourth assist of the game.  At 54 minutes, Fluge again found Primavera in the box with a crossing pass right to left.  Primavera took a hard volley shot which rebounded off the keeper.  Midfielder, Iver Honningdal was there for the put back into the net.  EGF scored the last goal of the contest at 76 minutes, attacking up the left touch line.
