The Ottertail Central Bulldogs remained unbeaten on the season as they recorded their fourth straight win when they handed the Staples-Motley Cardinals a 52-12 setback on Friday night in Battle Lake.

Blake Wallevand and Isaac Fisher scored first quarter touchdowns to give OTC a 14-0 lead.

To start the second quarter OTC fumbled and the Cardinals returned the fumble 47 yards for a TD.  The Bulldogs then answered with two Max Naddy scores, followed by another Staples-Motley touchdown, making the score 30-12 at halftime.

In the third quarter, OTC added scores from Austin Wensauer and two from Blake Wallevand to make it a 52-12 lead after three.

"The fourth quarter was a lot of time for the JV to get meaningful time and learn to be varsity players for both teams," said Coach Eric Olson of the Bulldogs.

OTC was led by a strong offensvie performance from Nick VanErp, throwing for 271 yards and rushing for 94.  Blake Wallevand caught 10 balls for 161 yards and 3 touchdowns.  He also had three interceptions on the other side of the ball.

The Bulldogs will travel to Long Prairie next week for another meaningful district game.
