Coming off a 7-3 record from a year ago, the 2018 version of the Perham football team looks for another successful season with a strong nucleus of returning starters.  They do have some big holes to fill with the loss of Logan Richter (lineman, U of M), Martin LaFond (WR/DB, Basketball M State-FF), Tanner Knutson (DB, MSUM) and Zack Zajac (WR/DB, M State-FF).

Returning starters include seniors Ty Moser (LB/RB), Zach Peterson (LB/RB), Jenson Beachy (QB/DB), Josh Jeziorski (DB/WR), Dawson Stevens (OL/DL), Colton Kostynick (OL/DL) and Dylan Fudge (DE/RB), and junior Dawson Kellog (LB/RB).

Senior Max Tostenson (LB/OL), sophomores Noah Rooney (DB/WR) and Finn Diggins (QB/DE) and freshman Colton Hackel (DB/WR) all appear ready to step into extended varsity roles for the Yellowjackets.

"We have a hard working team," said Coach Kyle Knutson.  "This group has great focus to accomplish their goals."

Knutson, now in his fourth season as head coach, will be assisted by Ryan Beachy, James Mulcahy, Grant Dierkhising, Tyler Doll, Jesse Hein, John McEachran, Paul Sturdevant and Aron Velde.

DGF, Detroit Lakes and Fergus Falls are Knutson's picks to contend for the Midwest District Red Division title.
