Browerville and Brandon-Evansville needed an extra inning to decide their softball contest on Monday.  The Tigers broke the 3-3 tie with a run in the top of the eighth inning and were able to prevent the Chargers from scoring in the bottom of the inning.  Bristol Bruder (8IP, 15H, 3R, 2ER, 4BB, 7K) was the winning pitcher for the Tigers.  Kylee Dingwall (8IP, 13H, 4R, 4ER, 5BB, 10K) took the loss.

“We kept pace with a very skilled Browerville team tonight and forced them into extra innings, but we just couldn't quite come up with a timely run,” said interim head coach Erika Traphagen of the Chargers. “The girls should be extremely proud of themselves and the outstanding plays they made today to keep this a tight game. Maddie Stich went 4-for-4 in the box and we had other girls throughout the lineup contribute with solid hits, but we couldn't quite find the spark to take the lead.”

In addition to Stich, leaders for Brandon-Evansville were Claire Boesl (2-3, 2B, RBI, BB), Mia Elmer (2-4, SB, R), Dingwall (2-4), Hallie Richter (2-4, SB, BB) and Drea Fernholz (1-4, 2B, RBI).  Tahira Schaffran scored twice, stole two bases and drew a pair of walks.

For Browerville, Anna Meyers (3-4, 2SB, 2RBI, R), Ava Lorentz (2-5, RBI), Rhianna Buhl (2-4, BB), Madison Cebulla (2-3, RBI, R, BB, SB) and Miley Riedel (2-3, R, BB, SB) were the leaders.
