The Crookston softball team scored five times in the top of the seventh inning, extending their lead to six runs as they handed Pelican Rapids a 10-4 defeat on Thursday. “You have to give Crookston credit as their pitchers did a good job of throwing strikes and their fielders made plays in the field,” said Vikings Head Coach Derrick Nelson.
Hitting leaders for Pelican Rapids were Linea Thomas (3-4, RBI, 2R), Claudia Gurath (2-4, 2RBI), Zayla Arrow (2-3, R, HBP) and Chelsey Blakeway (1-3, RBI).
