Fergus Falls faced great pitching once again as Sauk Rapids pitcher and UMD commit Ethan Swanson demonstrated poise and grit on the mound after the Otters jumped to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning.  After that, it was all Sauk Rapids as Swanson settled in, going 6 complete innings and not yielding another run.  The Storm took advantage of 7 walks, 3 errors and timely hits as they climbed back and sealed the 6-3 win at Bob Cross Park in Sauk Rapids.  Ben Rothstein earned the save.

Isaac Ellison took the loss for the Otters, pitching three-and-two-thirds innings, allowing four runs, two of which were earned, on three hits, striking out two and walking five.

Brock Scheuerman went 1-for-3 at the plate with a run batted in.  Ethan Gronwold, Griffin Babolian and Carston Fronning each contributed a hit and the Otters stole four bases on the day.

Shea Koster led Sauk Rapids-Rice with three hits in four at bats.

Fergus Fall will travel to Sartell for their next game on Thursday.
