Perham Extends Winning Streak to Twelve Games with 10-4 Win Over EGF

Blaiz Schmidt went 2-for-4 at the plate, driving in 3 runs and pitched all 7 innings to lift the Perham Yellowjackets to a 10-4 victory over East Grand Forks on Saturday at Al Krueger Field at Tuffy’s Stadium in Perham.  Schmidt struck out 3 batters and didn’t walk anyone in recording the complete game win.  Perham collected 14 hits in the game with five players contributing multi-hit games.

 

Gavin Griffin (3-4, 2 2B, 2R, SB), Gage Aanenson (2B, HR, RBI, 2R), Ty Rooney (2-4) and Brock Melgard (2-4, 2B) led the way.

Perham led 6-2 when they pushed across 4 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take control of the game.  East Grand Forks managed 7 hits.

Perham is now 12-0 to start the season.  They will play two games in Barnesville beginning at 4:00pm on Tuesday.
