The Hillcrest Track and Field team participated in the Hank Emmel Invitational held in Pelican Rapids on a cold and wet Friday afternoon. The highlight of the meet was the Girls 4x 800 relay (Katie Holzner, Emme Berge, Elsa Retzlaff, Kaia Fiskness) breaking their own record by 10 seconds with a time of 10 min and 13.20 seconds.

Other top finishers for the Comets were;
Matthew Knutson: 1st in the long Jump (19’-7.5”) and 5th in the High Jump ( 5’ 8”)
Gabe Swedenburg: 2nd in the 400 (54.46) and 6th in the 100 (12.01)
Kaia Fiskness: 1st in 200 and 2nd in the 4x400 (Ruby Peterson, Emme Berge, Elsa Retzlaff) 4:26.62
Emme Berge: 3rd in 400 (1:06.46)
Katie Holzner: 6th in 1600 (5:41.85)
The Comet men finished 7th/ 11 teams with 30 points and the women finished 9th/11 teams with 37 points. The Comets head to Wheaton on Monday and Breckenridge of Thursday.
