On Friday, the Alexandria Girls Golf Team traveled to Sartell to compete in a Central Lakes Conference Meet at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club. The course was very wet, but playable for the girls walking. Shortly after the first tee shots were struck, a tree came down in the middle of the first fairway. The local pro made a quick adjustment and converted that hole to a par 3. The Cardinals prevailed in this event with a nice 5-shot victory over runner-up Brainerd. Our team score also tied our season best!
