Winning pitcher Brady Swendsrud held Fergus Falls without a hit on Friday at Knute Nelson Field, leading the Alexandria Cardinals to a 16-2 victory over the Otters in a Central Lakes Conference baseball contest. Swendsrud struck out six batters in five innings on the mound and issued 5 walks.
Cameron Simon (3-4, 2 2B, 4RBI, 3R), Carter Simonson (1-2, 2B, 2RBI, R), Brody Adelman (1-2, 2B, 2RBI, 2R, 2BB), Sam Anderson (1-2, HR, 2RBI, 2R, BB) and Gavin Klimek (1-3, RBI, 2R) were the leading hitters for the Cardinals.
Luke Pearson and Griffin Babolian scored runs for the Otters. Babolian and Logan Larson each stole a base. Larson also drew a pair of walks.
