The Parkers Prairie Panthers donned their icy white tops for the first time this season and earned a tidy 11-0 five inning win on Friday over Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale.  The boys wasted no time, with rain coming they wrapped this one up in 61 minutes. Dylan Debilzen was lights out on the mound tossing the complete game shutout in 63 pitches striking out nine Raiders while giving up only two hits.

Defensively, we played error free. Cohen Noska had another web gem at third on a do or die soft ground ball that he scooped up and fired to Zach Mrnak at first for an out.  Nolan Steidl also had a ball deep in the hole at short that he picked and fired to Mrnak at first for another out. Boys ran the bases well as we went first to third on a couple Raider miscues, and were able to score on some heads up aggressive base running on balls hit on the ground in the infield. Mrnak had a pair of doubles on the night, and Steidl a pair of singles while Debilzen and Ben Wagner each tripled and Seth Sansness singled.

The Parkers Prairie JV boys took home the win against a much improved BHV team 4-1. Isaac Ruckheim started on the mound going 2.1 innings giving up 1 hit, 1 run (0 earned), 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Trevor Rounds came on in relief and threw 4.2 shutdown innings giving up 1 walk while striking out 9. Rounds also had a very nice pickoff at first base. Offensively, the Panthers had 9 hits combined from Mason Boesl, Isaac Ruckheim, AJ Woodworth, Rounds, Adam Grabow, Justin Olson (2), and Mason Hoffman who drove in 3 runs off two big hits! We will be a busy group next week with 5-6 games, weather depending of course.
