Hawley junior Sophie Cook fired a 39 on Thursday to claim medalist honors at the Heart O’ Lakes Conference girls’ golf meet in Breckenridge. The Nuggets took first place in the team competition and Barnesville was second. DGF and Perham tied for third place, while Frazee and Pelican Rapids shared fifth place, just ahead of the host Cowgirls.
