Golden Rams Sweep Spartans in Baseball Double Header

Anoka-Ramsey swept a double header from M State on Wednesday, winning 8-7 and 14-4 in Coon Rapids.  With game one tied 7-7 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Logan Adamski singled, driving in the winning run for the Golden Rams.  Anoka-Ramsey collected 13 hits in the second game victory with Grady Fredrick leading the way with a 3-for-4 day at the plate.  Adamski added a pair of doubles and scored 3 times.

 

Fredrick drove in 3 runs with 3 hits in the opener and Jake Contreras also had a 3-hit game for Anoka-Ramsey.  Julian Campos earned the win for the Golden Rams, allowing 3 hits and two runs over two-and-a-third innings, striking out two and walking one.

Isaac Hamann, Logan Pulju and Connor Davis each collected two hits for M State.  Hamann, Evan Lunde and Bryce Kruger each had two runs batted in for the Spartans.  They also drew seven walks, led by Carson Bevill with three.

In game two, Campos knocked in 3 runs for Anoka-Ramsey and Rice Whitaker also had 3 RBI.  Jake Contreras (6IP, 9H, 7K, 4ER) was the winning pitcher for the Golden Rams as he fired a complete game.  Contreras also drove in a pair of runs to help his own cause.

Hamann (2 triples), Davis (2B) and Brett Laurin each had a pair of hits to lead M State in the nightcap.  Lunde and Davis each contributed 2 RBI.
