The Fergus Falls Boys Golf team finished in 2nd place behind Orono at their rain shortened home invite on Friday and Saturday at Pebble Lake Golf Course.  The tournament was cut to 27 holes as the course became unplayable on Friday evening with all the rain.

Orono shot a 312 in the first round to hold a 4 stroke lead on the Otters who fired a 316.  Detroit Lakes (327), Orono 2 (336) and Crookston (385) rounded out the scoring on day 1.

Adam Kennedy shot a 75 to lead the Otters on day 1.  Ryan Nelson (77), Quintin Kuehl (80) and Gavin Goepferd (84) rounded out the scoring for the Otters.  Riley McGovern (86) and Simon McGovern (87) also competed.

The 2nd round was a 9 hole shotgun start on the front and while the Otters kept things close, ultimately they came up 5 strokes short to finish in 2nd place.

Adam Kennedy led the boys again with an even par 37 to also finish in 2nd place overall as an individual.  Ryan Nelson and Gavin Goepferd both shot 38, and Riley McGovern posted a 40 to round out the scoring.  Quintin Kuehl (42) and Simon McGovern (44) rounded out the scoring.

Individually, the tournament was won by Dylan Kringen of Orono who birdied his final hole to beat Adam Kennedy by a single stroke.  Dylan was 2 over par total for the 27 holes.
