Warriors Beat Ashby Twice

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross swept a softball double header from Ashby on Thursday, winning 6-3 and 13-0.  Jadyn Kellen struck out 11 in going the distance in the first game and the Warriors took advantage of 11 walks and 4 Ashby errors in their game two victory.  Emily Drewicke drove in 4 runs with a single and a triple to highlight the offensive attack.

 

Addison Blume (2-4, 2 2B, 2R), Hadley Berger (2-4, 2B, R) and Grace Dawson (1-3, 2RBI) were the hitting leaders in the first game.  Kellen added a base hit, a run batted in and scored a run.

In game two, Blume was 1-for-3 with 3 runs scored and two steals, Berger walked 3 times, scored a run and knocked in a run, Jordyn Perry was 1-for-2 with a RBI and 2 runs scored to go along with a pair of stolen bases, Sadie Vipond was 1-for-3 with two runs batted in, a run scored and a steal, and Makayla Bertram had a single, a walk, a stolen base, a run batted in and a run scored.
