The West Central Area girls’ golf team competed in their Quad County Conference Meet on April 15, placing third as a team, with 5 individuals in the top 20.  Miley Dewey shot a 91 to claim third place and Macy Grosz shot a 109 for tenth place.  “For the first meet of the season, all the girls did really well,” said Head Coach Chelle Dewey.

On Tuesday, April 23, the lady Knights had their first West Central Conference meet at Pomme de Terre golf course in Morris and Tipsinah Mounds golf course in Elbow Lake.  With tough competition and a sfiff wind, Miley Dewey shot 48-45, Hayden Schei shot 57-47, Macy Grosz 63-49 and Summer Benson 59-57 as the team tied for third place.

Dewey, Grosz and Schei battled the wind on Thursday, April 25 at the Quad County Meet at Balmoral.  West Central Area took first place as all three girls were in the top ten.  Dewey was fifth with a 97, Grosz seventh with a 101 and Schei tenth with a 109.

The Knights will compete in a WCC meet on Tuesday at Melrose/Sauk Centre and a Quad County meet on Thursday at Pebble Lake Golf Course in Fergus Falls.
