The Perham baseball team recorded two more wins on Thursday when they defeated Pelican Rapids 9-0 and 14-2. Ashton Detloff (7IP, 2H, 0R, 2BB, 13K) was on his game in the opener, hurling a complete game shutout. The Yellowjackets closed out game two in five innings, scoring 14 runs on 12 hits. Blaiz Schmidt fanned 8 batters and allowed only one earned run on 5 hits.
Seth Urbach (1-2, 2B, 3RBI, R, 2BB) drove in 3 runs and Alex Blume (1-3, 2B, BB, 2RBI, R) had 2 RBI in the opener. Bradyn Anderson (2-3, RBI, R) and Tate Zacharias (1-3, 2B, RBI, R) were the offensive leaders for the Yellowjackets. Three Pelican Rapids errors led to 7 unearned runs.
In game two, Gavin Griffin knocked in 5 runs with 3 hits, including a pair of doubles. He also scored 3 times. Blume scored 4 runs, reaching base on 3 walks and a single. Schmidt, Detloff and Urbach each drove in a pair of runs.
