Spartans Sweep Baseball Double Header from Anoka-Ramsey

The M State baseball team swept a home double header from Anoka-Ramsey on Thursday afternoon.  The Spartans won game one by the score of 8-0 and then took the nightcap, 10-4.  Carter Spangler (6IP, 7H, 0R, 1BB, 2K) and Ben Monson (1IP, 1K) combined on the 7-hit shutout in the opener, and the Spartans collected 12 hits in game two with five players driving in runs.

 

Logan Pulju (2-4, 2B, 2RBI, R), Eoghan Fisher (3-4, 2B, R), Evan Lunde (1-3, 2B, R), Brett Laurin (2-4, RBI), Connor Davis (1-3, BB, RBI, 3R), Isaac Hamann (1-2, BB, RBI) and Bryce Krueger (1-4, RBI) all contributed at the plate in game one.

Offensive leaders in game two were Hamann (3-3, 2B, RBI, 4R, BB), Fisher (3-4, 2RBI, 2R), Pulju (1-4, 2RBI, R), Monson (1-4, RBI, R), Davis (1-3, BB, RBI) and Kruger (2-3, BB). 

M State will travel to Coon Rapids for another double header with Anoka-Ramsey on Tuesday.
