Nolan Steidl got the start for Parkers Prairie and pitched 6 shutout innings, giving up only 3 hits, walking 3 and striking out 4 as the Panthers blanked the Sebeka Trojans, 4-0, on Tuesday afternoon.  “Nolan pitched very well when Sebeka had a couple threat going,” stated Head Coach Derek Denny of Parkers Prairie.  “Our defense also showed up as we turned a dandy 6-4-3 double play.”

David Revering came on in relief to slam the door shut on any thought of a comeback by Sebeka as he struck out the side with all 3 called third strikes.

“The boys didn’t tear the cover off the ball offensively, but it was enough to tally some runs,” noted Coach Denny.  “Cohen Noska and Revering each had a pair of singles, and Dylan Debilzen doubled off the fence in right field.  Mason Boesl and Steidl also hit safely and Boesl was a thief on the base paths, swiping three bags and scoring two of the four runs.”

The JV boys kept it rolling after a week off with a 16-2 win against Sebeka.  Hudson Truax (3IP, 2H, 2R, BB, 6K) earned the win and Justin Olson (3IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, 4K) finished up on the mound for the Panthers.  The boys tallied 18 hits.  The JV team will play a pair of 5 inning games on Thursday.

The junior high team was also victorious, scoring 11 runs in the first game and 12 in the second game.  The Parkers Prairie pitchers recorded 14 strikeouts and only allowed one hit in each game.
