Alexandria Golfers Claim Top 4 Spots, Win CLC Meet at Rich Spring, Otters Take 5th

The Alexandria boys’ golf team swept the top four places at the Central Lakes Conference meet held at Rich Spring Golf Course on Monday, winning the team competition with a score of 299. Sartell-St. Stephen was second with a 316, followed by Brainerd at 323, Willmar at 334, Fergus Falls at 338, Sauk Rapids-Rice at 340, Rocori at 372 and St. Cloud at 388.

 

Alexandria freshman William Thornburg and Alexandria senior Jack Holtz shared medalist honors with rounds of 74.  Senior Bennett Olsen was third with a 75 and junior Carver Larson was fourth with a 76.

Fergus Falls senior Riley McGovern led the Otters with an 81, good for tenth place.  Senior Ryan Nelson was 18th with an 84, sophomore Quintin Kuehl was 22nd with an 85 and senior Gavin Goepferd and sophomore Simon McGovern tied for 28th place with scores of 88.
