The opener saw M State collect 13 hits in the game with 5 players delivering multiple hit games. They were led by Ben Monson (2-4, 2B, HR, 3RBI, 2R, SB), Isaac Hamann (2-4, 2B, 2RBI, 2R), Eoghan Fisher (2-4, 2RBI, R), Bryce Kruger (2-3. RBI, R, SB) and Logan Pulju (2-4, R), Connor Davis had a home and two runs batted in. Evan Lunde had a pair of steals and scored twice.
Offensive leaders for Ridgewater were Sam Etterman (2-3, 2BB, 3R, 2B), Luke Ruter (2-3, BB, 2B, HR, 3RBI, 2R) and Caden Lang (2-4, BB, 3RBI, R). Max Athmann added a home run in 3 at bats, driving in a run and scoring once. Cole Dolezal went 1-for-3 with a run batted in and 2 runs scored, and Nolan Eischens was 1-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored.
Second game leaders for the Spartans were Davis (3-4, 2B, HR, 3RBI, R), Fisher (2-4, 2B, 3RBI, 2R) Hamann (1-3, HR, 2RBI, 2R), Kruger (1-2, 3B, R), Dalton Heater (1-2, RBI, R) and Lunde (1-4, R, SB).
Willmar was led by Athmann (4-4, RBI, 2R, 2SB), Lang (1-4, 2RBI, R), Eischens (1-3, 3RBI, 2R) and Mason Macziewski (1-5, 2B, 4RBI).
M State will play Minnesota North College – Rainy River in another double header at Bemidji beginning at 2:00pm Wednesday in Bemidji.
