The Hancock Owls overcame an early 4-1 deficit with an 8-run fourth inning as they took a 9-4 lead over Lac qui Parle Valley in a high school baseball game on Monday. The Owls couldn’t hold the lead, however, as LqPV scored one in the fifth, took a 10-9 lead with 5 in the sixth and secured the win by adding 6 more in the seventh. LqPV had 15 hits on the day.
The Owls were led by Donovan Curfman (2-2, HR, 2RBI, R), Ambrose Rinkenberger (1-2, 2R, BB, SB), Hudson Ver Steeg (1-2, RBI, R, 2BB, SB), Jordan Chunn (1-3, R, BB, 2SB) and Sebastian Salas (1-3, RBI) were the hitting leaders for the Owls.
