Ottertail Central committed 8 errors which led to 6 unearned runs on Friday in their 13-3 softball loss to Parkers Prairie.  Trailing 2-1 in the third, the Panthers scored four runs to take a 5-2 lead.  They added 4 more in the fourth and another 4 in the fifth to end the game by the ten-run rule.  Rose Volker struck out 7 and didn’t walk a batter in her five innings in the circle to earn the victory.

The Panthers were led at the plate by Jessa Rounds (2-3, 2RBI, 3R, BB, SB), Evy Grinager (1-3, 2B, 2RBI, 2R, SB), Hope Koep (1-4, 2B, RBI 2R, SB) and A Wagner (1-2, RBI, 2R, BB).

Ottertail Central was led by Brooklyn Christianson (2-2, 5SB, 3R) and Kenady Cameron (2-3, 3B, RBI).  Sophie Akerman had a pair of stolen bases.

“Tough loss for the Bulldogs tonight,” stated OTC Head Coach Heather Akerman.  “Too many mental errors, but it’s early in the season so we’ll work hard to clean those things up.”
