For the second straight day the Alexandria Legends swept a college baseball double header from M State, winning 11-0 in 5 innings, and 8-2, in the two games played on Sunday in Fergus Falls. Luke Saulters didn’t allow a hit in the first game as he struck out 9 Spartans and walked 3 in his 5-inning complete game.
Levi Lampert drove in 5 runs with a double and home run in three at bats. Jack Theisen homered and drove in 4 runs for the Legends. Josmer Ortiz Aponte (2-2, 2BB, 2R, 2B) and Jaden Drill (2-2, BB, R) also had multiple hit games.
The Spartans only managed 3 hits in the second game with home runs from Logan Pulju and Ben Monson, along with a single by Monson.
Alexandria had multiple hit efforts from Drill (2-4, RBI, 2R) and Felix Porras (2-4, 2B, RBI 2R). Carter Lang contributed a 2-run home and scored a pair of runs.
M State will host Minnesota North College – Rainy River in a double header on Wednesday.
