Perham made it back-to-back road wins when they defeated Pine Island 8-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Yellowjackets got a superb performance on the mound from Blaiz Schmidt who allowed just 3 hits, walked 2 and struck out 5 while going the distance to earn the victory. The offense backed him up with a 6-run fourth and added a pair of sixth inning runs for insurance.
Ashton Detloff (2-4, 2RBI) and Bradyn Anderson (2-4, R) had multiple hits for Perham. Other hitting leaders were Gavin Griffin (1-3, RBI, 2R, BB, SB), Alex Blume (1-4, RBI), Schmidt (1-3, R, BB) and Tate Zacharias (1-4, 2R, SB).
