The Ottertail Central Bulldogs outlasted the New York Mills Eagles Thursday night in a Little Eight Conference softball battle.  OTC came out on top, 4-2, picking up their first win of the season.  They lost their opener 12-2 in 5 innings on Tuesday against Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale.

In the bottom of the first inning Sophie Akerman doubled, Kenady Cameron grounded out, Lily Conner walked, and the Bulldogs scored on a wild pitch.  Akerman allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking two.  Brooklyn Christianson, Akerman and Cameron each collected one hit for OTC.  “The Bulldogs were disciplined at the plate, tallying up 9 walks,” said Head Coach Heather Akerman.  “This was a great team win against a good conference team.”
