The Brandon-Evansville softball team evened their record at 1-1 with a 13-1 five-inning victory over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle.  The Chargers scored ten runs in the fourth inning to break the game open.  B-E had 15 hits in the contest.

“We had a solid game in all areas tonight,” said Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Kasi Sieling. “Kylee Dingwall threw the ball extremely well and our defense made solid plays behind her. Offensively, it took a bit for us to find our groove, but once we started hitting it was contagious and we were able to put together a huge 3rd inning. Hopefully we can carry the confidence we found tonight into next week with the start of conference play.”

Dingwall pitched all five innings, allowing 3 hits and one run, while striking out a dozen and walking only one batter.  Hitting leaders were Hallie Richter (4-5, RBI, 2R), Tahira Schaffran (3-4, 2RBI, 2R), Ava Santjer (3-4, 2RBI, 2R, SB), Drea Fernholz (1-1, 2RBI, R), Madeline Stich (1-4, RBI, R, SF), Jadyn Deschene (1-3, RBI, R, SB) and Dingwall (1-3, RBI, 2R, 2B).
