The Barnesville baseball team is coming of a 12-8 season that saw them go 8-4 and finish in the top 3 in the highly competitive Heart O’ Lakes Conference. Sixth-year Head Coach Stacy Martz says, “We should have some depth and a lot of returning starters from last year. Pitching should have some depth as well.”
Seniors Asher O’Brien (SS, P) and Jay Tschumperlin (OF, P), and juniors Gannon Bolgrean (OF, IF, P), Brady Nosal (OF, P) and Collin Morey (IF, OF) are all back from last year. O’Brien and Tschumperlin will serve as team captains.
Martz is also expecting to work sophomores Cam Halverson (C, IF, P), Logan Ehlert (IF, P) and Peyton Amundson (IF) into the varsity mix.
