The Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders return four varsity starters as they open the 2024 high school baseball season.  The Raiders compete in Section 5A and as a part of the Park Region Conference.  Graduation hit them hard as they lost four solid starters and team leaders.  Head Coach Dillon Card will be assisted by Brian Hinzmann and David Mills.

Returning starters include seniors Kobe Hinzmann (P, SS), Nolan Elbert (3B, OF) and Jaden Schulke (2B), and junior Shawn Schmitz (P, CF).  Hinzmann and Schmitz will serve as team captains.
