The Pillager Huskies are coming off a 9-14 baseball season that saw them record their first AA playoff game victory since they moved into Class AA in 2018.  With an abundance of experienced players back from that team, third-year head coach Jacob Box has a positive outlook for the 2024 season.

“We return 10 letter winners from last season,” stated Box.  “We look to build off of last season’s success with 7 guys returning who have multiple years of varsity experience.  Our depth, along with our experience, should make us very competitive in every game this year.”

Returning letter winners include seniors Eli Miller (P, 1B, OF), Conner Hanson (OF, P) and TJ Swanberg (OF), juniors Kaden Imdieke (P, C, IF), Cowen Cremers (IF) and Derek Hoglin (P, IF, OF), sophomores Alex Brandt (P, IF), Grant Grimsley (P, IF) and Lucas Hoglin (P, OF), and freshman Elliott Imdieke (C, IF, P).

Juniors Skyler Hill (OF) and Logan Mapson (OF) will also be looking to contribute at the varsity level.

Jordan Schiffler will serve as varsity assistant and Brandon Burgau will coach the JV team.

Coach Box says St. Cloud Cathedral, Foley and Albany are the teams to beat in Section 6AA, while Parkers Prairie, New York Mills will be the main challengers to the Huskies in the Park Region Conference.
