Perham struggled offensively, shooting just 29% (14-48) from the field, making only 2-of-17 (12%) from 3-point range, and turning the ball over 21 times in their 54-41 loss to New London-Spicer in the Class AA Consolation semifinals at Concordia University in St. Paul on Thursday. Willow Thiel ended her Perham career with a double-double (25 points, 12 rebounds). Kennedy Pilgrim pulled down 9 rebounds and Ryleigh Mickelson (5 points, 3 assists, 4 steals, 8 rebounds, 2 blocked shots) turned in a solid all-around floor game.
The Wildcats hit 32.8% (19-58) of their field goal attempts and won the rebounding battle 43-39, recording 14 offensive boards. Ava Carlson led the way with 21 points and 8 rebounds, while Ayla Caskey contributed 20 points and a team high 3 steals. Delaney Hanson led the team with 12 rebounds.
Perham ends the season with a record of 26-5.
