M State Loses Last Two Games of Florida Baseball Trip

The M State baseball team ended their Florida trip with a pair of losses on Thursday.  The Spartans rallied from an early deficit to take a 6-5 lead against Moraine Valley CC, however, a five-run fifth by Moraine Valley led them to a 10-7 victory.  Then, against Waubonsee CC, the Spartans lost a 13-2 decision.

 

Leaders against Moraine Valley were Eoghan Fisher (4-5, 2RBI, BB), Ben Monson (2-2, SB), Carson Bevill (1-3, BB, R), Bryce Kruger (1-4, 2R) and Evan Lunde (1-4, R).  Eli Stevens turned in two hitless innings of relief.

In the loss to Waubonsee CC, M State was led by Logan Pulju (1-3, RBI, R, 2B), Lunde (1-3, RBI, R, 2B), Fisher (1-3, BB), Monson (1-3) and Dalton Heater (1-3). 

The next schedule action for the Spartans is Saturday, March 23 at M State against Minnesota North College-Itasca.  Games are set for 1:00pm and 3:00pm.  They also play Minnesota North College-Mesabi on Sunday beginning at 11:00am.
