DeLaSalle shot 55% (33-60) from the field and made 11-of-14 free throws on Thursday to defeat the Alexandria Cardinals 82-69 in the Class 3A State semifinals at Williams Arena. Aneisha Scott poured in 29 points on 12-of-19 shooting and dished out a game high 11 assists, while coming up with 4 steals and 5 rebounds. Jordyn Johnson added 20 points and Madalyn Blaylark had 14 points and 5 rebounds.
The lady Cards shot 41.4% (24-58) and made 13-of-16 (81.3%) free throws. Hadley Thul contributed 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Chloe Scholl recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while adding 5 assists. Allie Haabala and Lauren Beyer had 10 points each, with Haabala also gathering 6 rebounds and picking up a couple of steals.
Alexandria will face Stewartville at 2:00pm Saturday in the third place game at the Gangelhoff Center at Concordia University in St. Paul.
