Spartans Manage Just One Hit in 12-1 Loss to Prairie State College

Prairie State College scored 10 runs in the first inning and went on to defeat M State by the score of 12-1 on Monday as the Spartans fell to 0-4 on their Florida trip.  The Pioneers added a pair of third inning runs and finished with 8 hits.  Winning pitcher, Fabian Morales, held M State to just one hit in his four innings on the mound, and Avery Fabian pitched the fifth, allowing an unearned run on no hits.

 

Leading hitters for the Pioneers were Horacio Cabrales (2-2, R, 3RBI), Joseph Marin (2-3, 2R, 2RBI), Fabian Romero (2-2, 3R, RBI, BB, SB), Nathan Odaira (1-2, 2R, RBI) and Callyl Lozada (1-3, R, RBI).

M State will face Holyoke Community College in Davenport, Florida on Wednesday.  Their double header against Hudson Valley Community College was cancelled.
