Kale Misegades delivered 40 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals on Thursday night as the Henning Hornets posted an 82-53 victory over Frazee. Teigan Bjerke distributed 14 assists and completed his double-double by scoring 11 points. Bjerke also had 6 rebounds. Logan Kostelecky chipped in with 9 points, Noah Umland had 8 and Lane Dilly contributed 7 points and 9 rebounds.
“We are really happy to get a playoff win tonight,” said Head Coach Randy Misegades of Henning. “Frazee is an unbelievably good #8 seed. They have four guys who can really score.
Frazee also changes defenses a lot and never really allows teams to get settled and comfortable on the offensive end. We made shots tonight and that always gives you a chance. We’re looking forward to playing a really solid Park Christian team on Saturday.”
Henning made 62% (30-48) of their field goal attempts, 65% (15-23) of their 3-pointers. Misegades was 8-for-9 from beyond the arc.
Frazee was led by Alex Helmers with 18, Asher Blaine with 17 and Carter Sonnenberg with 13. They shot 38% (22-57) from the floor.
Henning will face Park Christian at 1:00pm Saturday in Perham.
Frazee ends the season with a record of 8-19.
