Senior golfers Ryan Nelson, Riley McGovern, and Gavin Goepferd have been named captains for the 2024 Otter golf team. All 3 have been playing and contributing scores since they were 9th graders.
"These guys are great leaders and are our most experienced golfers," said head coach Matt McGovern. Outside of golf, all three were also on the varsity hockey team this year, and Ryan competed in Soccer last fall as a 3 sport athlete.
"Well rounded and really good athletes, these 3 are a great example of that and playing more than one sport has helped them focus and strengthen their golf games as well," McGovern added.
The Otter boys will start practice on March 18th and hope to be outdoors by late March.
The Otter golf team competes in the Central Lakes Conference and when playoffs start, compete in section 8AA.
