The Park Rapids Panthers came into town to take on the state-ranked Perham Yellowjackets. Park Rapids was coming off a first round win while Perham had  secured a bye and was opening up their playoff mission.

The game wasn't in doubt for very long, as Perham jumped out to a nice lead and never looked back. By halftime, Perham had a 34-17 lead, led by the play of senior Willow Thiel and her 22 points.

The Jackets slowed down for the first couple minutes of the second half, before making a strong push at around the 10 minute mark. That push put the game out of reach. Thiel scored a bunch of points during that run, eventually scoring her 41st point with just over 8 minutes left in the game before she was pulled. Perham went on the win the game 75-50 and pushed their record to 24-3. They will face a team that gave them 2 of their 3 losses this season, Barnesville. They will play the Trojans at 6:00pm Wednesday at Concordia College in Moorhead.

Willow Thiel broke the single-game scoring record in Perham by scoring 41 points. She was the epitome of efficiency, as she scored 41 points on 19 shot attempts! She finished the game 16-19 from the field and 9-13 from the free throw line. She added in 16 rebounds as she gave the home fans one last look at another patented double-double. Fellow seniors Kennedy Pilgrim, Ryleigh Mickelson, and Kaia Starzl were also awesome in their final appearances in the Hive, each making highlight reel plays throughout the night. Over the last 3 seasons, these 4 have won an astounding 42 games in the Hive alone!
